It seems that “One direction” the ex “The X Factor” finalist that came in 3rd, is on the way to become the most famous and biggest act to come out of The X Factor, as it was stated by Simon Cowell the executive producer of the show that One Direction is considered to be a very good representative of “The X Factor”. The executive producer made this statement during an interview with the Rolling Stone. He also added that he wished for One Direction to make its first appearance in front of the US audience in 2011 in December on the first season finale of the U.S The X Factor, but sadly, that didn’t happen because the date conflicted with their tour schedule in the UK. But this doesn’t mean that One Direction didn’t make a debut to the U.S viewers, as One Direction debuted on “Today” on NBC on the 12th of March of the current year.

Before the arising of One Direction to the worldwide stage, the 2006 U.K The X Factor winner Leona Lewis was considered to be the only The X Factor competitors to strike it big and became famous worldwide. But of course this changed after One Direction became one of the most famous bands after its participation in The X Factor, and it became on the top of the charts as its music and album grabbed the 1st spot in the U.S.

The group came 3rd in The X Factor in 2010, which soon after the executive producer of the show; Simon Cowell signed them to Syco Music that he co-owns with Sony Music. It is also partnered with Columbia Records in order to launch the music and spread it across Canada and the USA.

As for the main reason in the success of One Direction, Simon Cowell stated during the interview that the main reason is the internet. This is due to the fact that the band got widely known in the USA through YouTube.com and other social media. And most people who heard about the band saw it first on the internet, and that’s how the fan base grew.
