Kelly Rowland, “The X Factor” U.K. judge has been experiencing public distraction in her bid to promote her third solo album, “Here I Am,” released on the 26th of July 2011 in both Canada and the United States. On July 29, 2011, Rowland was crowned guest editor by Essence.com. The Essence magazine website entails exclusive interviews with Kelly on varied topics such as her female friendships, her new music, beauty tips, favorite summer fashion and “The X Factor” U.K.

Kelly had the following comment regarding her role as a judge on “Te X Factor” U.K.: “It’s so much fun. I got the invitation from Simon Cowell. And when I got there, I didn’t know what to expect because there are so many different accents and different places in the U.K. where some of the accents are thick, like Liverpool, Glasgow. Some of the words sound like they’re running together, but when you really take the time to listen, it’s really charming.”

Kelly also talked about her closeness to famous friends; Brandy, actress/singer, Serena Williams, tennis player, La La Vazquez, TV personality, Jessica White, model, and former Destiny’s Child members Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams. She added; “I think it’s so important for women to have that camaraderie amongst each other, period. It feels great to have a good support system as well. That’s what I have with each of my besties. Michelle and B [Beyoncé] are now sisters. It’s just awesome: the connection and friendship we have.”

A previous report says Kelly is performing some U.S. tour dates between July and September 2011, some said to feature Chris Brown, after which she’ll return to England to continue with the filming of “The X Factor” U.K.
